An apprentice Original Hercules in tumbled brown horsehide-Superb

Wonderful colour and the buttons match very well.I like the seams running up either side of the buttons too and the length looks perfect for body and sleeves

Great thread-I was pleased to obtain this duty belt a few years ago for an LAPD jacket

I think it is inevitable whatever the lining.This is a cotton drill lining on a 30's HB in heavy steer.Just rubs on belt loops and the like.

Yes and as it came out of the box.........a hefty 6 pound jacket

Looking back I bought it in 2018 but I couldn't tell you the date of manufacture.It had a very strong and pleasant leather aroma but faded very quickly from solid black to its present state.It seems to have stabilised now without further fading.

My Route66 in horsehide-Not old or a great deal of wear but now looks like this.

Probably not much help but I think these would be considered russet in colour.Aero supply leather samples I think.
