Are there some things to look for to determine whether a 1930s-50s leather jacket is high quality when you don't know the maker or if there is a maker but you don't recognize the name? Material, zipper brand, etc? I am sure some of you experts have some wisdom to provide....

I saw a horsehide half belt jacket with this label, but I have never heard of the brand. It is supposedly from the 1940s.
