Made under license in Germany, so a Wegener hat, and sold in A Breiter's store in Munich.

I believe it was up for an auction on eBay from a seller of a few hats, but mostly other collectables. I put in a substantial bid, obviously wanting the hat and hoping to scare any high bidders out of the gate. Clearly, whatever I did worked and I got it for $53 + shipping at cost.

Hello from Australia guys. Been collecting hats for a bit. You guys have some amazing stuff. This is a recent one . It's a Latkovic from Amsterdam. Lovely felt. High quality and incredibly well finished. Dont wear many black ones but this is one of my only sonewhat modern ones anf I love it. Been lurking for a while . Nice to.meet you all.

A break in the storm has brought some very agreeable sunshine, but more storms are following. For church this morning, my Stetson Sovereign. Later we shall dine out at a favourite watering hole, but the hat will have to come off before Storm Boleo claims it.

Ooh-la-la Stefan! The Barbisio, such a rich, saturated tone with a subtle sheen. The finish shows Barbisio's historical blending process. I love it!

Good Sunday morning everyone! 47° in my neck of the woods at 7 AM. Today’s selection is a Gannon 100 X beaver in Sahara.

Today, on this autumn day, I decided to wear a "Super Flechet" hat.

It’s a size 58, so it fits well when my hair is short.

Alas, no brush available!

The felt is a soft velvet—a truly beautiful example of this particular type of finish.
The sweatband bears the mark "Velsoy," which is the term Flechet uses for hats with this kind of finish.

The leaves are changing color, and the temperature drops at night.
The season for "substantial" felt hats has begun!

Sometimes it's just a hat I got from somebody I don't know, then other times it's a hat that I got from one of my friends. Those are the "special " ones to me.
When I first arrived @ TFL one of the 1st guys to reach out to me was Nathan aka the Lost Cowboy. One day he decided to liquidate some of his collection & I was able to pick up a couple cool old lids from him. So, without further ado...more whipstitch goodness !
