What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

One of my favorite work hats is this late-model JBS 25 Open Road. The rain is off and on here so the 25 will stay on while I run around town.

Heading out this morning with a rehabbed and previously abused modern 6x Open Road Stetson ( replaced the rotted sweatband, cleaned, reshaped and repurposed a western liner, feather and hat ribbon from another project). Nice little knock around hat that I dont have to worry about

The cold has suddenly disappeared in Italy. It left without saying goodbye, at least until today, one of the last days of February.

I had prepared the last batch of fur winter hats, so today you'll see the last of the series and then a new rotation of hats more suited to the season.

"Cappelleria di lusso Foresto - Torino" on the lining, "styled by Borsalino" appears on the sweatband.
The paper label is from the Vanzina factory, controlled by Borsalino.

The color of the felt, dense and medium-weight, is "Morello." The size is 60 centimeters, or 7 1/2 in the US.

Impressive and unconventional, it's a magnificent example of postwar Italian hatmaking.
Thanks for your comments and likes. I'm always fascinated by the variety of hats I see passing by on my screen.

I wanted to wear my buckaroo Hatters natural crossover today, but since I was working with a lot of young people, I decided to leave the pinup liner at home and go with my Clearwater Derby.

I love the liner in the Buckaroo, but that Clearwater is just gorgeous.

Today's hat is my new Borsalino Claudio, 63cm, or 7-3/4 US in Brown. It has a very pretty Marca Columbo stamp in the interior lining.

Hello all my TFL friends, life has been taking me in a different direction lately and I have not posted here in awhile. Most of my "disposable income" has been goings towards my newly found guitar habit, although I still nab a hat or 2 when they catch my eye. Them dang guitars are every bit as addictive as these old fedoras are !
Without further ado... I present my latest addition. One I looked for quite awhile for and am proud to have in my collection. Wright Constellation. Custom Built with 100 Percent Pure Beaver Fur.
