I keep hoping that someday Ill run across a light grey/ silverbelly Stylemaster. Ive seen one but apparently they never sold them on this side of the water lol. ( Ive got a couple browns and a black but no greys) Id be satisified with a light grey Bogart, but I cant find one of those either. Pickings from overseas are slim and getting expensive compared to a couple years ago

Great googly moogly, Stefan!! You're killin' it with all these new (or newly seen) treasures!! SO hard to decide when so many look SO amazing. I'm going with the Peschel as #1, the Stetson Severn as #2, and a tie for #3 with the Borsa and the Stetson Custom V sharing the honors. WHAT A WEEK!!!!!!

Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
When I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells

(Minor note: Church bells aren't made of iron. They would crack, and make a most unmelodious "clank". But we'll give David Gilmour a little artistic license.

Hat: Hornskov Narrator in natural pure beaver. Steel hat band. Coat: Vintage Evan Picone. Umbrella: Blunt Classic, in Black., Scarf: Soho Scarves, in maroon paisley.

A rainy, cold Sunday morning in SW England just begs, begs for proper clothing. Especially if you are going to Church. And somehow a good hat just ties the whole thing together. View attachment 763377

Burr! it was 21 degrees on he patio when I got up this morning. Firepit is going, coffee in the cup and Mr Bear is in process of moving all his toys to the yard for the day. This morning I threw on my "Deadwood" Beaver Brand hat. The claim by the seller is that it was worn by one of the extras for filming the Deadwood series.... I cant really prove it, and havent found it after watching the series three whole times trying to catch a glimpse, but its a good story and Im sticking to it! The color has always made my heart smile on this one ( and best of all its a dense, warm hat)

Combed out the puppy last night and I just noticed Ive got bits of white fur everywhere ... I guess now I get o brush some hats today too

Leopold Nagy Wien, "Der Nagy Hut", possibly late 1920s. The Dark Red Olive Felt is of very high quality. Interesting Lighter Red Olive Brim Binding and Black Band / Frayed Bow combination. Has a very wide Light Gray Corded Sweatband. This is an early one and I am not sure if it was sourced and the condition is NOS. Snowy weather so not the best photos. I found this Soft Felt back in 2011.

Taking one of my favorite Adams out for a spin for some fresh air today. This ones always been a mystery.... when it got here, it was a perfect fit, the felt was almost perfect, the liner was mint, and actually had a size tag, but the leather sweatband was dry rotted into about a half dozen pieces and someone had removed every other tag.... a new lsoft lamb sweatband is all I had to do. Not sure what it is but its always been a great wear and one of Mr Bears' favorites

Every now and then I give this Borsalino a spin.
MSodio Bor 4.jpg

He made so many of them because they ended up at a street vendor's stall.
MSodio Bor 6.jpg
I bought the entire lot, and among several Borsalinos, this one was there.

"Borsalino Misto Sodio," and I'll leave it up to you to decipher the wording on the hatband.
A very elegant hat with the ribbon featuring two different textures that match the felt.
MSodio Bor 7.jpg
Among that large group of Borsalinos, there are a couple that I really love, both gray and fuzzy.

Thanks for your kind words and likes.
Keep showing me hats I've never seen before; they're a delight.
