Today, the sun was very pale, and then the sky became cloudy, perfect for photographing "shiny" hats.

Charles Hatter, aka Borsalino under another name, or a Vanzina product with brand marketing for export.

The hat has a Talpa - Taupe felt finish and "Coffee" is the color.
The felt is medium-weight, with a certain firmness, yet easy to handle.

This one is 58 centimeters wide, like all hats from this brand, which leads me to believe they were intended for export. I made some adjustments to widen it, and I succeeded, especially since it's one of my favorite hats.

Thanks for your likes, and I hope you've started 2026 off right with new hats and happiness.
That is one AMAZING hat, Steve!!!!!!Echter Borsalino "Lama" "Fico", 6 inch Open Crown, 2 1/2 inch Brim, Point 6, date stamped May 18, 1929. The felt is very soft / light weight with a unique very wide ribbon and bow design. It has an fantastic over welt that doesn't allow snapping. The sweatband and silk liner (unique color) are of the highest quality. The Form is very much of the time and place. Overall condition of the hat is excellent. The Berlin store / hat company (Max Eckard) that sold it did not survive WWII. This Soft Felt Hat is one of a three Echter Borsalino - Max Eckard Berlin Soft Felt Hat find I made back in 2015.

Over Welt with Semi Hidden Stitch. The Stitch is visible on the top side of the Brim and creates a Sawtooth like pattern from a distance.

If I recall correctly, you can see Jayesh on episodes of The Repair Shop from the BBC.Between my YouTube channel, travel to Salt Lake City and London, and holidays with family and friends, it has been a while since I posted some hat photos. On my trip to London, I acquired 4 vintage hats from my good friend, Paul John Murphy, of PJ Murphy & Son British Bespoke Hatters. Lock & Co. Hatters (formally James Lock and Co. Ltd) is the world's oldest hat shop and the world's 34th oldest family-owned business. I wore this brown Lock & Co Peatwood during the "Hat Tuesday #17" episode on my YouTube channel. I was able to take it to Lock & Co located at 6 St James's Street where Master Hatter Jayesh was able to provide a rough date of manufacture of 1970's to mid-1980's.

It's my second Disney, both in gray (2 different shades). These fifteens are something special and I cannot resist when I see a good deal on them.Classic design and proportions! One of the shapes that brought me here years ago.
Thank you very much, Mark.Woot!!!! New year, new snow, and some new hats!! MOST awesome! For me, #1 is a tie between the two newbies, the Peschel and the Portis. I'll be honest, both of them took that slot on the basis of their INCREDIBLE hatbands! Second place goes to the Borsalino, and third to the Tirard. Looking forward to an incredible 2026 with you, Stefan!
Thank you, Steve.Hello Stefan, Thank you! I am still working with Flickr regarding the problem but at least I know how to work around it now. Fantastic series of hats from you today! Various Styles, Finishes, Colors and Brands! They are all beauties!
Fantastic in every way, Reggie.Sunday, Northwest Hat Co.
