Love the narrow ribbon Borsalinos
We certainly got a few smiles and one or two compliments but as for an adventure, I can think of many more exciting ways than spending seven hours in the emergency centre of a casuality hospital. But thanks for the compliment Joe, you had Tina smiling. What an adventure.. glad to hear you are ok. Sounds like you two certainly livened up the place.
Ha, yes. I suspect I'll have a collection pretty soonWelcome…. seems “I’ll just have to get more” is one of the first symptoms around here![]()

The Barbisio, I wouldn't say no to the overcoat as well. Stefan.
Apologies for standing you up yesterday. I was already to post my selection when a medical condition that I have transpired otherwise. That condition is known as an inguinal hernia, which is due to be surgically repaired.
Yesterday, it gave me enough grief for Tina to call an ambulance. At the hospital, Tina & I tended to stand out a tad, we were all dressed for church, even the surgeon, who I eventually saw joked: "We do get a better class of patient on Sundays!" His nurse asked for permission to photograph me, so I put my bespoke Gamble & ***n hat back on and posed. Will I make it to Facebook?
My hat might have had a bit of attention yesterday but your Barbisio would probably have had more. The shape is exquisite whilst the colour is perfect with my blazer. Your's is a beautiful hat, Stefan.
I have many internet "friends" here on The Lounge whom will wonder if I am okay. I'm fine, I was allowed home after a day at the hospital and now I am wearing a support that's a great help. Here's yesterday's hat.

A footnote, can anyone read a heartbeat printout? Tina tells me that my old ticker is as robust as a twenty-something's.

It starts with one, then it becomes a collection, after that you have plethora, the next you know, you have an invasionHa, yes. I suspect I'll have a collection pretty soon
Good to hear you're on the mend Robert, and that the good old British NHS, though stretched, is still standing and able to help.View attachment 744143

Dang good hat, Nathan! Some fly leather, too!
O-Chit man! (In my best Cheech Marin voice)
Sorry to hear of the medical issue, Robert, but, having had two inguinals repaired back in the 80s, I'm willing to bet it's even easier and smoother now, and I expect you'll be back to dancing in no time. Prayers and positive thoughts are out to you.View attachment 744143

And with a hat that magnificent, "just because" is all the reason you need!
Much appreciated Mark, I tell you my inguinal knows how to make an entrance, but it's yet to learn how to make an exit.Sorry to hear of the medical issue, Robert, but, having had two inguinals repaired back in the 80s, I'm willing to bet it's even easier and smoother now, and I expect you'll be back to dancing in no time. Thanks Steve, our appearance did garner a few favourable comments. There was a fair bit of just waiting around, but when I finally saw the duty surgeon, he confirmed that it was sensible to attend the hospital.Good to hear you're on the mend Robert, and that the good old British NHS, though stretched, is still standing and able to help.
Best wishes to you and Lady Tina.
P.S. that's a great ensemble for a trip to the hospital.
Love it! When the first few grey hairs appeared on Tina's head she said that she wasn't ready for the little old lady look, just yet. The first time that she came back from her hairdresser with her hair that colour, I asked if said colour had a name: "Kick-***-red," she informed me. Sounds about right.Robert i’m surprised your EKG isn't more
Ba Da Da Boom Ba Da Da Boom in the presence of that Red Headed Bride of your’s.
Just sayin…
