Post New Hats Here!

[Joao Encarnado]

I was waiting for two grizzly fuzzy furries and one have arrived.
It's a Thoroughbred in a "semi-dark" rust color. The chicken feather band was promptly removed (yuck) and I'm considering this piece of a leather belt as it's replacement.

New hat acquisition, originally posted in Hopkins Hats but as the thread says Post New Hat here!, well...
cost me $40. What a lovely hat, felt is so smooth, like velvet.

I've seen a couple of Hopkins boxes recently whilst antiquing. Sadly, no hats, though.

Pretty sure the local one is $10. It would seem shipping to the UK would be a killer, tho.

The other one is ~60 mi down the road and I don't know when I'll be back there. I can shoot you a pic of the local one. I can likely swing by there in a week or so. Looked to be in pretty good shape - no idea if the guts are in it, tho.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.

Would't mind having a look at it, you never no, might be wright!
Cheers Bud.

[M Hatman]

Well, here is a new one....not old by any means...but got it for $45.......it was in need of assistance......a lot of brushing.....some steam and reshaping.........I chose to do a modified center dent with deep front pinches......and I have a great looking hat with a sharks gill bow. Cool grey/brown color that is hard to describe....nice full, thick soft felt with a great hand. Was not sure of this company, but this is a nice hat!!! I would definitely buy a Selentino again....
CHEERS,
M
ps....pictured also is a really cool Stetson pin that dates to the early 1900's I picked up recently....

[M Hatman]

Her is a better picture of the Stetson pin. Has a patent date of 1896....
